God gives childless couples a family, gives them joy as
the parents of children.—Psalm 113:9
How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters
get along!—Psalm 133:1
Exploit or abuse your family, and end up with a fistful
of air.—Proverbs 11:29

take pride in their parents.—Proverbs 17:6
It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to
set it on a firm foundation.—Proverbs 24:3
“You’re blessed when you can show people how to
cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you

Wives, understand and support your husbands by submitting
to them in ways that honor the Master.

take advantage of them.
Children, do what your parents tell you. This
delights the Master no end.
Parents, don’t come down too hard on your children

Take care of widows who are destitute. If a widow has
family members to take care of her, let them learn that
religion begins at their own doorstep and that they
should pay back with gratitude some of what they have
received. This pleases God immensely. . . . A nyone who
neglects to care for family members in need repudiates
the faith. That’s worse than refusing to believe in the
first place.—1 Timothy 5:3-4,8
