We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but
we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but
we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually
terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve
been thrown down, but we haven’t broken.
—2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Even though on the outside it often looks like things
are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is
making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding
grace.—2 Corinthians 4:16

Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the
exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with
each person, attentive to individual needs.
—1 Thessalonians 5:14

Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love
and helping out.—Hebrews 10:24

“In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom
subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God created
identity. Live generously and graciously toward
others, the way God lives toward you.”—Matthew 5:48

I’m running hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything
I’ve got. No sloppy living for me!—1 Corinthians 9:26

You do so well in so many things—you trust God, you’re
articulate, you’re insightful, you’re passionate, you love
us—now, do your best in this, too.—2 Corinthians 8:7

You’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on
things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling,
gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not
the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into
practice what you learned from me, what you heard
and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes
everything work together, will work you into his most
excellent harmonies.—Philippians 4:8-9
