Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again:
Stay with God.—Psalm 27:14

Be brave. Be strong. Don’t give up. Expect God to get
here soon.—Psalm 31:24

Never walk away from someone who deserves help.
Your hand is God’s hand for that person.—Proverbs 3:27

Gracious speech is like clover honey—good taste to the
soul, quick energy for the body.—Proverbs 16:24

If you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you
don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate;
if you’re called to give aid to people in distress,
keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you
work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated
with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on
your face.—Romans 12:8

Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need
to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not
just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for
service, not status.—Romans 15:1

God comes alongside us when we go through hard
times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside
someone else who is going through hard times so that
we can be there for that person just as God was there
for us.—2 Corinthians 1:4

We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but
we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but
we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually
terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve
been thrown down, but we haven’t broken.
—2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Even though on the outside it often looks like things
are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is
making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding
grace.—2 Corinthians 4:16

Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the
exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with
each person, attentive to individual needs.
—1 Thessalonians 5:14

Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love
and helping out.—Hebrews 10:24
