You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing
about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs
with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience.
We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing,
when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It’s
a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with
the whole lot of us.—Ephesians 2:2-3

Make sure there’s no evil unbelief lying around that will
trip you up and throw you off course, diverting you
from the living God.—Hebrews 3:12

God means what he says. What he says goes. His
powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting
through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying
us open to listen and obey.—Hebrews 4:12

My purpose is simply this: that you who believe in
God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt
that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion.—
1 John 5:13

Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after
those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners,
but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high
heaven.—Jude 22-23
