Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take
over your work.—Psalm 19:13

God is fair and just. He corrects the misdirected, sends
them in the right direction.—Psalm 25:8

Bring me back from gray exile. Put a fresh wind in my
sails!—Psalm 51:12

God, I’m your servant. Help me understand what that
means, the inner meaning of your instructions. . . .
Break open your words. Let the light shine out. Let
ordinary people see the meaning.—Psalm 119:125,130

Trust God from the bottom of your heart. Don’t try to
figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s
voice in everything you do, everywhere you go. He’s the
one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you
know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!—Proverbs 3:5-7

Without good direction, people lose their way.
The more wise counsel you follow, the better your
chances.—Proverbs 11:14

There’s a way that looks harmless enough. Look again
—it leads straight to hell.—Proverbs 16:25

People ruin their lives by their own stupidity—so why
does God always get blamed?—Proverbs 19:3

Jesus said, “Anyone who intends to come with me has
to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat—I am.”
—Luke 9:23

“I am the world’s Light. No one who follows me stumbles
around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to
live in.”—John 8:12

Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life.
No one gets to the Father apart from me.”—John 14:6

What happened was this: People knew God perfectly
well, but when they didn’t treat him like God, refusing
to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness
and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction
left in their lives.—Romans 1:21

I have a special word of caution for you who are sure
that you have it all together yourselves and, because
you know God’s revealed Word inside and out, feel
qualified to guide others through their blind alleys and
dark nights and confused emotions to God.
—Romans 2:19

Who in the world do you think you are to second guess
God? Do you for one moment suppose any of us
knows enough to call God into question?—Romans 9:20

Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.
—Ephesians 5:10

Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each
other, in step with each other. None of this going off
and doing your own thing.—Colossians 3:15
